Python development services for APIs, AI and the apps they power.
Hoop Interactive is a Python development company that builds FastAPI and Django backends, AI services and data pipelines. Our Python runs in production today: realtime voice agents, a 120-endpoint retail platform and computer vision apps.
What we build with Python.
Custom Python development from a single API to a full platform, plus the front end and mobile app if you need them.

Python web development
Django web applications with admin panels, user accounts and dashboards.
AI & LLM backends
LLM features, RAG pipelines and model serving inside your Python stack.
Realtime & voice services
Async WebSocket services for live audio, chat and streaming data.
Data pipelines & ETL
Scheduled jobs that collect, clean and load data with pandas and SQL.
Automation & scripting
Python scripts and bots that remove repetitive work across your tools.
Computer vision
OpenCV image-processing backends for detection and analysis.
Python modernization
Upgrade old Python and Django versions, untangle monoliths and add tests.
Django, FastAPI or Flask? Here's how we decide.
The right framework depends on what you're building, not on what a vendor happens to know. Sometimes Python isn't the answer at all — for a JavaScript-heavy team or a simple backend for a Next.js site, Node.js can be the better fit, and we'll say so.
| Framework | Choose it for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| FastAPI (our default for APIs) | APIs behind web and mobile apps, AI services, realtime and high-concurrency work | Fast, async by default, automatic OpenAPI docs, strong validation — used for BeesApp’s platform API and two realtime voice AI services |
| Django (full web apps) | Database-heavy web apps, internal tools, content sites and marketplaces | Admin panel for free, mature ecosystem, Django REST Framework for APIs — watch for more structure than a small API needs |
| Flask (lightweight) | Small services, webhooks, prototypes and existing Flask apps | Simple, flexible, huge extension library — you assemble validation, auth and structure yourself |
Python code your next developer will thank you for.
Clean, maintainable Python isn't a slogan. It's type hints checked in CI, Pydantic validation on every request, pytest coverage targets, async I/O and Redis caching where it helps, OWASP-aware security review, and Docker images with structured logs and error tracking from day one.
- Typed Python
- mypy or Pyright checked, so bugs never reach production.
- Validated data
- Pydantic models at the edge of every request.
- Automated tests
- pytest with coverage targets agreed at the start.
- Shipping & monitoring
- Docker, CI/CD and Sentry from the first release.
Python we've put into production.
BeesApp's platform had grown into a fragile mix of PHP, Django and Vue.js — we rebuilt it with a FastAPI backend.
FASTAPI · PLATFORM REBUILD · RETAIL TECH
120+ API endpoints on a new FastAPI backend for BeesApp
We rebuilt it with a FastAPI backend, a Next.js web front end and a Flutter app, deployed on Kubernetes.
Read the case studyHow we differ from a typical Python development company.
Every Python page lists Django, Flask and FastAPI. Here's what you get beyond the logos.
| What matters | Typical Python vendor | Hoop Interactive |
|---|---|---|
| Framework choice | Whatever the team already knows. | A written recommendation, including when not to use Python. |
| Proof | Anonymous "100+ projects" claims. | Named case studies with stacks and results. |
| Code quality | "Clean code" with no definition. | Type checks, tests and linting enforced in CI. |
| Scope | Backend only; front end is your problem. | Backend, web front end and mobile from one team. |
| AI | Listed as a buzzword. | Realtime AI services running in Python today. |
| Ownership | Code delivered as a zip at the end. | Your repository from the first commit. |
Three ways to get Python built.
Start small with an audit, or go straight to a project or a dedicated developer.
Python Code Audit
An independent review of an existing codebase with a prioritised fix list.
One-offPython Project
We own delivery of a defined API, web app or pipeline, with a fixed price and milestones.
Fixed scopeDedicated Python Developers
Full-time Python developers on your product, managed by you or by our project manager.
MonthlyHow a Python project runs with us.
Working software every week, in your repository, from the second week on.
Discovery
We map requirements, data, integrations and load, then pick the framework and architecture.
Week 1 · Architecture & quoteFoundations
Repository, CI pipeline, typing, tests, Docker and environments set up before features.
Week 2 · Deployable skeletonData model & API contract
Database schema and OpenAPI contract agreed, so front end and backend can build in parallel.
Weeks 2–3 · API docsBuild in sprints
Two-week sprints with a weekly demo, code review on every pull request and a Friday report.
Ongoing · Working featuresHarden & launch
Load testing, security checks, monitoring and a rollback plan before go-live.
Final sprint · Production releaseSupport & scale
Monitoring, upgrades and new features, or a clean handover to your own team.
After launch · Docs & handoverThe Python ecosystem we work in.
Modern Python 3, the libraries that matter, and the infrastructure to run it.

About our Python development services. Ask us anything else.
A Python code audit starts from $2,000, an API or backend project from $8,000, and a dedicated full-time Python developer from $3,500 per month. Larger web applications are quoted at a fixed price after a free discovery call.
Choose Django when you need a full web application with an admin panel, user accounts and lots of database-driven pages. Choose FastAPI for APIs, microservices, AI backends and anything realtime or high-concurrency. Many products use both, and we recommend one in writing after discovery.
Yes. We start with a code audit covering architecture, dependencies, tests, security and performance, then recommend whether to stabilise, refactor or rebuild. You get the audit report even if you decide not to continue with us.
Yes, for the vast majority of products. Async frameworks such as FastAPI handle high concurrency well, and the usual bottlenecks are database queries and external calls, which we fix with indexing, caching with Redis and background workers.
Yes. We pair Python backends with Next.js and React web front ends and Flutter mobile apps, so one team owns the whole product, as we did for BeesApp.
Yes. Python is where most AI tooling lives. We add LLM features, retrieval-augmented generation, voice agents and computer vision to Python backends, and have shipped realtime voice AI services in Python and FastAPI.
Yes. You can add one or more full-time Python developers to your team month to month, starting from $3,500 per developer, with code review and backup from our engineering lead.
We use type hints checked in CI, Pydantic models for validation, pytest with agreed coverage targets, Ruff for linting and formatting, peer review on every pull request and documentation that lives next to the code.
Yes. We upgrade Python versions and frameworks step by step behind a test suite, replace unsupported libraries and keep the application running throughout, rather than freezing development for a big rewrite.
