.NET Development Services

.NET development for new builds and the .NET apps you rely on.

Hoop Interactive builds ASP.NET Core web apps and APIs, and moves ageing .NET Framework systems to modern, cross-platform .NET one piece at a time. Web Forms, WCF and Xamarin included, without a risky big-bang rewrite.

Overview

What we build and modernise in .NET.

Custom .NET development for new systems and for the Microsoft applications your business already depends on.

ASP.NET Core web apps
Portals and business systems built with Razor Pages, MVC or Blazor.
.NET API development
REST and gRPC APIs with Minimal APIs, authentication and OpenAPI docs.
.NET Framework migration
Move .NET Framework apps to modern .NET, project by project.
Web Forms & WCF modernization
Legacy pages and services rebuilt on supported .NET technology.
.NET Framework Check

Still on .NET Framework? Here's when to move.

.NET Framework 4.8 still runs, but it's in maintenance mode: no new features, Windows-only hosting and a shrinking pool of developers who want to work on it.

  • 01

    Windows Server costs keep rising

Modern .NET runs in Linux containers, which is usually cheaper to host.

  • 02

Web Forms or WCF at the core

Neither exists in modern .NET, so they block every upgrade.

  • 03

    Xamarin mobile apps

Microsoft ended Xamarin support in May 2024. Store requirements will eventually force a move.

  • 04

    Hard to hire for

Developers prefer modern .NET, and fewer know older frameworks well.

  • 05

    Our approach

Tests first, then migrate one project or page at a time with old and new running side by side.

Our Stack

How we build .NET applications today.

Some .NET vendors still sell Xamarin and “.NET 5 readiness”. This is the stack we use now, on current long-term support releases.

When .NET is the right choice, and when it isn't.

Rescuing legacy systems without stopping the business.

BeesApp's system had been stitched together by earlier vendors and kept failing. The same audit-first, step-by-step approach drives every .NET migration we take on.

FAQ

.NET development questions

About our .NET development services. Ask us anything else.

A .NET code audit starts from $2,500. A .NET project such as a new ASP.NET Core app, API or framework migration starts from $12,000, and a dedicated full-time .NET developer from $3,500 per month. You get a fixed quote after a free discovery call.

.NET Framework 4.8 still runs, but it gets no new features, only runs on Windows and limits hosting and hiring options. Modern .NET is cross-platform, faster and actively developed. If your app is still changing, migrating usually pays off.

We audit dependencies, add tests around critical flows, then migrate project by project, often running old and new parts side by side behind a proxy so users never see a big-bang switch.

Neither is supported on modern .NET. Web Forms pages are rebuilt in Razor Pages, MVC or Blazor, and WCF services move to REST APIs or gRPC, keeping the business logic you already have wherever possible.

Yes. Modern .NET runs in Linux containers, so we can deploy to Azure App Service, Azure Container Apps, AWS or your own servers, often reducing hosting costs compared with Windows-only servers.

No. Microsoft ended Xamarin support in May 2024. Xamarin apps should move to .NET MAUI, or to Flutter or React Native if a broader mobile ecosystem suits you better. We help you choose and migrate.

.NET is a strong fit for enterprise systems, Microsoft-centric companies and teams that know C#. Node.js suits JavaScript-first teams and real-time apps, and Python suits AI and data-heavy products. We recommend based on your team and systems, not on what we prefer.

Yes. You can add full-time .NET developers to your team month to month from $3,500 per developer, with code review and backup from our engineering lead.

You do. Code lives in your repositories and cloud accounts are in your name.
